(1 Year Contract)

Maryvale is a leading Adolescent Mental Health Centre serving youth and families throughout Windsor-Essex County. With our main campus in Windsor and satellite locations in Leamington, Essex, Lakeshore and LaSalle, we provide a range of specialized mental health programs designed to strengthen the well-being and resilience of young people and their families.

Opportunity:

Maryvale is seeking an experienced and collaborative Program Manager to provide leadership to our Day Treatment, Outpatient Counselling and Crisis programs. This position will be 1 year contract with the possibility of extension.

As a member of Maryvale's leadership team, the Program Manager will provide clinical and operational leadership to multidisciplinary teams while supporting a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring programs remain responsive to the evolving needs of youth, families and our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strong clinical and operational leadership to multidisciplinary teams serving adolescents and their families.
• Coach, mentor and support employees while fostering teamwork, professional growth and accountability.
• Promote high-quality, evidence-informed and client-centred service delivery.
• Oversee program operations and support the effective allocation of human and financial resources.
• Monitor program performance, service quality and outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support effective workforce planning, workload management and service delivery.
• Collaborate with Maryvale's leadership team on organizational priorities, planning and operational decision-making.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with community partners, funders and other key stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of organizational policies, quality standards and best practices.
• Promote a positive, respectful and inclusive workplace aligned with Maryvale's mission and values.

What you Bring:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within a mental health, healthcare or related human-services environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make thoughtful, timely and accountable decisions.
• Experience supporting program development, quality improvement and effective service delivery.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance clinical, operational and administrative priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated integrity, professionalism and sound judgment.
• A collaborative leadership style and the ability to build strong working relationships.
• A genuine commitment to providing exceptional mental health services to young people and their families.

The role of Child and Youth Care Worker involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Rotary Home. We provide inpatient psychiatric assessment services for patients who are up to the age of 16, who require brief periods of hospitalization, in an off-site, home-like unit, located at Maryvale.
The key responsibilities include acting in a coaching/teaching role with adolescents, modeling healthy values, effective problem solving, and relationship skills. Working as part of an assessment and treatment team supporting young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties. The Child and Youth Care Worker provides care aligned with Maryvale’s core values and professional standards and actively contributes to maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Job Title: Child and Youth Care Worker

Job Description:
• Providing direct therapeutic support, supervision and behavioural coaching to children and youth experiencing mental health challenges.
• Building positive therapeutic relationships while modelling healthy communication, emotional regulation, problem-solving and social skills.
• Participating as an active member of an interdisciplinary assessment and treatment team.
• Supporting youth in developing emotional regulation, interpersonal skills, independence and healthy coping strategies.
• Maintaining accurate documentation, daily records and written reports in accordance with agency standards.
• Collaborating with families, clinicians, educators and community partners to support positive treatment outcomes.

Direct Report: Midnight Supervisor
Supervisory Structure: Program Supervisors
Hours of Work: Fixed Line, Sunday-Thursday, 11:30pm-7:30am.

Rate of Pay: The wage range for this position is $25.50 – 35.54 per hour which in the Collective Agreement Schedule “A” Salary Grid, and exclusive of statutory withholdings and authorized deductions. Salary progression will follow the terms of the Collective Agreement.

Education: Child and Youth Worker/Child and Youth Care Diploma or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Candidates currently enrolled in programs matching this description will also be considered.

Experience:
• Experience working with children and adolescents experiencing mental health, behavioural and emotional challenges is preferred.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary treatment, and educational setting is considered an asset.
• Experience implementing behaviour management, therapeutic programming and crisis intervention strategies is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Title: Relief Registered Nurse

Job Description:

• Work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team consisting of child and youth care workers, social workers, psychiatrists, and consulting general practitioners.
• Be Responsible and accountable for the ongoing medical assessment and monitoring of the patient’s health status, identification of patient’s needs and the development of care plans to meet those needs.
• Administer and monitor medications.
• Provide nursing care as part of an off-site, acute care hospital setting. Shifts may be day, evenings, midnights weekdays and/or weekends and are generally 8 hours in length sometimes you may be asked to take a 12hr shift to help with coverage needs.

Direct Report: Sr. Program Manager Acute Psychiatric Inpatient Program

Supervisory Structure: Program Supervisor

Rate of Pay: The wage range for this position is $39.27 – 46.37 per hour which in the Collective Agreement Schedule “A” Salary Grid, and exclusive of statutory withholdings and authorized deductions. Salary progression will follow the terms of the Collective Agreement.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Degree or diploma in nursing with registration as an RN-current Registered Nursing License with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Experience:

• Experience working with children and adolescents experiencing mental health, behavioural and emotional challenges is preferred.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary treatment is considered an asset.
• Previous hospital, community, primary health care, or psychiatric nursing experience are considered an asset but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic Life Support –current or willing to update upon hire
• Excellent decision-making, judgment, and independent thinking skills.
• A passion for supporting young people, and a desire to provide a consistent, caring adult presence in their lives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to actively connect with patients, staff, and family members.
• Strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
